Help needed in identifying and pricing my Peugeot bike.

Hi!
My dad bought the bike in 1998.
Ive been searching all over the internet for identification, but no answer.
Searched ebay and amazon for prices but nothing.
(The bike has been in use for 17 years.)
So i came here for help.
I searched the internet for Model ID's but couldnt find information.
Text on the Columbus sticker:
"Columbus, Megatube, Double butted"
So - What is this Model and Price?

A late 80's/ Early 90's "hybrid", Canadien or Euro only model......
If the "Origin 30" is sealed under a layer of original clear coat paint,....... Then it is most likely a model "Origin 30".....whatever the "30" means......

All decals etc. are original.
I searched the internet for "Peugeot Origin 30 Bike" and only found 2 matching pictures. Searched Peugeot model database for "origin" model, but couldnt find any results there.
Sorry about the error!
Its a 1998 (eta.) bike!

"OR30" on the bar code decal confirms the model name..... A "93" at the end of the serial number might also denote a 1993 year bike....
Columbus was providing some companies tubing that they let them name for their own use, like Bianchi with their Columbus "Formula" tubing.....Maybe that's how the "Mega" tubing spec name came from?

You just need to learn where to look. Since most collectors are only keen on road bikes, the mtbs and hybrids may not have been scanned. However, the 1999 UK catalog shows it at 200 quid.

https://cyclespeugeot.com/files/1999UK.pdf

In the USA the bike might bring $125 US tops.

Hi Kurivaim,

welcome to the forums.

I have seen pictures of several Peugeots with this type of barcode label. These Peugeots usually have a serial number stamped into the frame. For made in France frames the serial number location is usually around the BB shell or the dropout on the non-drive side. The serial numbers usually start with the letter "Y" or "B". It is possible to determine the year of manufacture from the serial number.

The head badge says "Made in France". As you are in Estonia it is unlikely that the frame was made in Canada. The serial number for Canadian made Peugeots is usually stamped on the seat tube.

The bike is an MTB, not a hybrid. It has grip shifts and v-brakes. If these are original, then the bike is at the earliest from the mid-1990s.
