another mystery bianchi
I have this guy an email as it looks like its probably my size and the price is right
looks like the sticker might be a tange cro mo .. and I do like tange.
anyway, anyone have a clue as to what it might be? I asked for better pics of course.. at least one from the drive side so I could judge the size etc.

Where's Bianchigirll when you need her?
I did a little digging and I think it might be a 88-89 Bianchi Limited. Which would mean an Ishiwata cr-mo frame and Shimano 600 components. (see attached)

That is a huge bike! 64 easy. Yes, I would walk away as well, get out early. Once the shenanigans start, who knows where they'll stop.

yeah, i have a small co-op so it might have went to parts and the frame sit and wait for someone huge to come in looking for a good frameset. I am not small so I could probably have ridden it, but it would have been a stretch.. literally. hopefully the other buyer is an xxl

Were the rims tubulars?

yeah look like tubulars. the new owner can deal with that! I am not that sad, its quite possible the other buyer was 6'7" and really needed a big bike and made the +$50 offer. more likely its just someone who will part it out. which is what I might have done as well, so I cant get pissed on that account either.

Until the money changes hands the deal is not done (in the absence of an enforceable contract). If you wanted the bike you should not say I will come by tomorrow and buy, you go do the deal. Many a seller has been left standing empty handed witing for the "come by tomorrow" buyers who never show.

this true, but not actually what happened in this case. I was coming at the soonest that they were home to sell it, and had agreed and confirmed to buy at the price. they simply got a better offer.. the other person was not coming any sooner than I.
