1997 Trek 5500 should I buy it?

Hi Guys,
I'm new here and am hoping to get some of your expert opinions on this bike i found online.
Its a 1997 Trek 5500 OCLV carbon bike with 2x9 Ultegra groupset.
There are no cracks on the frame just some cosmetic wear. The seller is asking for $380.
I like this bike and it sounds like a pretty good deal to me, should I pull the trigger?
sorry for the sloppy photos:

Correct me if I'm wrong, this is the same bike that Lance Armstrong won his first Tour De France in right?

Thanks in advance for the help guys

Kev

Yup . If the shifters work and the frame is in good shape, score ! Hopefully, it's in the back of your car right now.

That thing looks like it was heavily ridden, without much maintenance.

I would not pay $380 for it. It needs a complete overhaul with cables, and it looks like the right side brifter is damaged. Chainrings look like they are in need of replacement.

Finish on frame is badly scuffed or worn.

A decent deal in the mid $300s. I diagree with the above assessment, which failed to point out the splash barf tape needs to go!
