Need help to identify this 1982... 1983 Trek

Serial number is 026011 which gives me the year of 1982.
Reynolds 531 frame, the sticker is unreadable.
23" or 58 cm from the center of the crank set to the upper top of the seat tubing.
18 speed Suntour Cyclone M II components (the front derailleur is a replacement Suntour 7, the original was no chrome and rusty)
Sugino AT crank set, marked B 3.
Dia Compe 500G brakes
27 x 1 1/4" Rigida Alloy rims with SunShine hubs, marked 81
Tange head set, Custom bar and stem.
SR La Prade seat post.

Can it be a 614 from 1982, but the color doesn't fit or
a 620 from 1983, built on a 82 frame, the color fit and the B 3 from the crank set can be a year - 1983

HELP !

Although all components don't match, your serial number indicates a 22" 1982 613 model based on the vintage-trek website.

Brochure here: 1982 Trek Bicycle Brochure

Main frame looks similar to this one I mused about. I think some 82 6xx models were sold with a solid headtube of pewter vs blue. That last picture is another bike, right? Either way as the one I linked to shows you can build these out pretty nicely for touring or multi use application, even lacking canti brakes.

Oh yeah. The last picture is a 1983 Trek 620 that I had 3 years ago

I love that the data is available to provide this level of matching, but I wonder if the model identification is 100% reliable. My '82 614 is in the range of missing data.

Aside from the components, the color on this bike isn't right for a 613 as described in the brochure but it does match a few others that pop up on a Google image search.

If it is a 613, it should have an Ishiwata fork. Are those marked on the steerer? The fork crown doesn't match the crown on my 614 which should have the same fork.

But again, a Google image search shows several variations of the fork crown so maybe that's just the way it was.

FWIW, the components do look like a match for an '82 614 to my untrained eye.

Except of the color.
What about the arm: it has a B 3, cannot be the year 1983?

According to the Vintage Trek site (Date of Manufacture of Bicycle Components can be used to date a bike: component dating) a B3 on the crank probably means it was made in March 1982, though it seems there is some doubt about which year was A.

I think the Trek serial number database is probably the strongest evidence, and as such this is almost certainly a 1982. The serial number marks it as a 613, but I believe the frames of the 613 and 614 were the same so it's easy to imagine that a frame manufactured with the intention of becoming a 613 ended up being built up as a 614. As for the color, I think the color choices listed in the brochure are the thinnest piece of evidence here and I wouldn't put too much stock in them as a limiting factor.

A few forum members have more insight into the inner workings of Trek during this time and may correct me where I am wrong.

83' 630? Wouldn't take much to throw on a triple.
