No, thats impossible. It's an '80-'82 61X. Check the date codes on the components to narrow down the year.

I think @nesteel has it right. I didn't find any brochures in the late 70s with a 600 series bike even if the serial no. might suggest otherwise. Take a look at the 1981 brochure; the 600 series come with your components. Looks to have a 531 main triangle as well:

Looks like the only difference b/wn the 613 and 614 is the crank. Is mine the forged or the alloy? My guess is alloy.

They're both alloy. My guess is that the forged version meant a cold forged crank which was a process used in higher end cranks.

VeloBase.com - Component: Sakae/Ringyo (SR) SAX-5TG, APEX-5 Touring

One of these came on my 1979 Trek 510. Tough to find rings for these.

Mine is the same crank as on this '82 613. The 614 crank is shaped different.

It seems the '81 model has the cable clips on the top tube, like mine, and the '82 has the cable braze ons.

I would say its a 1981 model, its a dead ringer for my 1981 613, same Brakes, same cranks. the 1982 model had a Suntour BL series Derailuer and yours like mine had was a Suntour VX GT.

Sounds right, @fleslider, plus the 1982 would have had cable guides.
