eBay Centurion Ironman Master (or is it?)
Hello all,
So after suffering from some mild depression after being too slow to snag any of the Centurion Ironmans in my area via Craigslist, I began to look on eBay. I found this prospect and was excited at first, but there are some things that worry me about the listing that I would like a second opinion on.
Centurion Ironman Master Road Bike Tange 1FRAME Shimano 600 Components Upgrades | eBay
1. From the pictures,it looks as if the bike is an Expert and not a Master.
2. Are those Shimano 600 EX parts on the bike?? All matching?
3. I'm not great at judging the size from the pictures, but is it only 53 cm?
Thank you! Looking forward to reading your replies.

The decal says 'Expert' not 'Master'. I see 105 not 600 components. It also has a uni-crown fork. It is an Expert.

^Agree with this and here is more info for you.
It is a 1989 Ironman Expert.
Looks like several of the components have been changed. RSX (not GPX) STI shifters and Exage rear derailleur not original.
Bike was listed in the catalog as having full Suntour GPX group as original components. Brakes and hubs appear to be the only things left on this one.
It is a small one. 53cm is probably right, maybe even a size smaller.
The seller has a lot of facts and specs wrong in the listing. That's a red flag for me.

The subject bicycle is a 1989 Centurion Ironman Expert. These came OEM with a SunTour GPX group and it still has the GPX brakes. The front derailleur may also be the OEM GPX. The crankset is Shimano 105SC from 1990+. The brifters are Shimano RSX (7 speed), 1995+. The rims are the OEM Araya CTL-370, so I'm assuming the hubs are OEM SunTour GPX. The pedals appear to be Shimano Deore SPD replacements for the OEM Sampsons.

Thank you for your input, I think I'll back off this avenue. The search continues...
Again, thank you for your responses! I appreciate it.

Still learning
I had a 1989 IM Expert with Suntour GPX as OEM. I would rather have Shimano Tricolor or 105 shifters over GPX, which is notchy/clunky when shifting.
Despite the mixed bag of parts, IMHO, it would be worth buying as shipping is included. Any component changes to all 105 or GPX would probably be net zero, when selling the takeoffs.
