    Old Schwinn 3 Speed? (lots of photos)

    Any info or ideas about this bike would be much appreciated. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

    Worth anything as it sits?

    As a bike to flip, probably not much if anything. It would take a lot of parts and labor to make it very sellable. As a bike to clean up and ride, maybe $5-10. To strip for parts $10-20 depending on what you might need.

    But I have seen much worse bikes saved.
    Laterally stiff yet vertically compliant.

    +1 Not worth flipping, as it needs a lot of work, more than the value of the finished product probably.

    But +1 if you are looking for a project, could be a fun one, and finished, it will be a good looking bike.

    The basic clean up of an old bike: tires, tubes, cables, bar tape, seat, and so on, costs about the same, whether you will end up with a $75 bike or a $400 bike.
