    aleigh DL 1 bikes

    Help! My husband owns 2 Raleigh DL 1's in great codition & we don't know how to age them or value them. Would appreciate any input on this .Thanks!!

    Best place to get info on these would probably be the classic and Vintage forum, but if you're around here, I might be interested in one.

    The year is on the hub, the price depends on condition

    Full chain guard and rod brakes? Alot.

    Yes, look on the rear hubs. There should be a coded date that looks like 65 12 (for December, 1965) or 70 2 (for February, 1970), something like that. If the year is coded in a single digit, that indicates the 1930s when they started making the AW 3-speed hub.
