proud owner of a RUDGE-WHITWORTH machine
Greetings to all members
i am a HR professional in a TV Network in India. Recently i have started vintage bicycle restoration and as my first machine, i acquired a vintage RUDGE-WHITWORTH men's bicycle. It's sailent features are:
Frame: 24 inch frame. Fixed back stays with quick release drop- out fork ends, best quality weld less tubing.
2) Identification Number engraved on the Frame: yet to find out. not on leftside under saddle
3) Finish: Black (faded condition)
4) Cranks: it had the distinctive "hand on the crank".
6) Mudguards: Rudge Original. completely varried from raliagh and humber
7) Brakes: Roller-Lever (rod) brakes
8) Front & Rear Hubs: Rudge with a nice oil port
9) Sprocket: not identified
11) Wheels: 26" wheels
12) Front Fork: single tube. chrome painted. on the top portion of fork there is cap like humber fork
13) Lubricator: At the bottom bracket for easy oiling
14) The head badge: "RUDGE WHITWORTH - COVENTRY’
year of make i cant find out. It has a passenger carriage and its details

moreover its serial Number is - A10700
Four holes on top of the Handle bar. purpose unknown
under the saddle one small hanging clamp or pully is there . purpose unknown
rim and mud-guard designs are completely varried from all other brands

it has no gear hub

it has no gear hub. it has single gear ie sprocket wheel.
i thought that it might be a provision for internal gear hub cable.
are you able to identify by considering other features of my machine which was posted by me.
soon i will post photos because its under restoration.
