    Mysterious Vintage Peugeot

Hello, I just wonder the value of some old Peugeot.
Through the hard searching web, I can hardly find reliable information.
Most of components are 600 Shimano.
    Here are some pics.

    Thank you.

It's not letting me view the pictures. Shimano 600 is good stuff, 2nd from the top behind Dura-Ace.

Best to post your pics on Photobucket or Flickr and post a link.

+1 I use Flickr, then post the pic directly. Do a search on posting pictures (be sure to search by relevance) and it will give you all the details.

SLX frame and 600 Ultegra with brifters make that a very desirable bicycle.

If you run the date codes for me I'll post a catalog scan.

Go here: www.vintage-trek.com Date codes can be found on the back of the crankarms, brake calipers and derailleurs. Look for 2 small letters next to each other.

    It certainly looks nice.
my guess is 92-93 but it really is just a guess.
I agree that dating the components would be an easier method of deduction.

If you arent looking to keep it, it seems to be the right size for my girlfriend...

Thats a good guess. The catalog its listed in doesnt have a date but I think its '93 based on component selection for various models in the catalog.

Its decal scheme is a post-Cycles Peugeot of France scheme and was first used on the Cycle Europe products. The 'Cycles Peugeot' decal is something slapped on by the distributor.

For those who aren't aware of the timeline; sometime around 1992 Peugeot of France sold their cycling division, 'Cycles Peugeot' to the BH company which in turn formed a company Cycle Europe. Cycle Europes Peugeots continued to be built in France in the same factories. Sometime around 2004 Peugeot of France decided not to renew the licensing agreement and began producing bicycles again under their own banner.

Mid 90's Peugeot where no dogs, the Festina team rode them to the team title in the '95? Tour de France.

    I'll buy it if its a 54cm.
