I checked it out, very clean but clearly needs BB and freewheel service and new tubes and tires. It's an originally equipped 1983, based on components, wheel size and color. It had 105 Golden Arrow derailleurs, dia-compe side-pull brakes, and was running pretty well. I guess he had the ad up a month ago at $250, ran it again at $225, and has had one inquiry....mine.

If you are up to doing the work on the bike, I would make him an offer, say $150. For another $30 or less, you should be able to have the bike road ready. This assumes it fits, you are an end user, etc.

I bought one off craigslist in Brooklyn about 10 months ago for $180 in similar shape so you might be able to pick it up for cheaper. Make them an offer.
