Late 80s Bianchi

Looking to sell, would love a rough appraisal if anyone can give one.

Bianchi Reparto Corse

I believe it's a 1988, not completely sure.

SBX tubing, Gipiemme dropouts

Campy SR headset

Slightly ovalised down tube near the bottom bracket, also has internal cable guides in the top tube.

Thanks

Hello dmt. nice frame the Columbus SBX tube set was custom made for Bianchi, and as you see features the oversized and ovalized DT for the SuperSet 2 frame design. the SBX frames were made offered from '92 to '94 but the horizontal dropouts make yours a '92. '93 + '94 had vertical dropouts. this frame looks in great shape did you buy it new? it came with Ultegra on it. I would think this is worth about 300. what size is it?

It came from my uncle who used to collect bikes. It's about a 55/56cm, I'm not sure of the exact tube measurements. I'm going to put it up on eBay asap and see how it goes.

Also, does ups offer frame packaging? or do i have to find a local shop that will safely package a bike frame?

Thanks for the input!

UPS may offer packaging but they do not have the correct size boxes and the knowhow on how to package a frame. Your LBS will have these boxes and package your frame safely for $20 or so.

My size, too. Nice one. Bianchi also continued that oval DT into the 97-98 era with the Trofeo, but the tubing was their own, not Columbus...
I'll bet that rides nice.

Just saw this:

is that a dent in the chainstay? If it is, the frame is probably worth about $50 max because it will need to be repaired.

Looks like a cable routing through the frame, rather than a dent. If it is a dent, value is minimal at that point.

Is that original fork? If it is I'd guesstimate $250-300 plus shipping, plus packaging in the spring on Ebay.
