Pretty ladies European 3 speed
I offered to help my bro-in-law sell this bike and most of my knowledge lies with 80's to 90's road and mtn bikes and I really don't have a clue what a 3 spd like this could bring or the best place to market it. I posted one pic but I have a link to some more below.
https://s114.photobucket.com/albums/n...ado%203%20spd/
He bought it from a Swiss couple who brought it to the states and it is in very good shape. I've tried to research the Tornado badge but have not had any luck. Best guess is it is of Swiss, French, Dutch, or German origin. The other name decal is scratched enough that I can't make it out. I've tried to translate the tubing sticker and I believe it is Warranty Nantiuse Steel Tubes and D'Acier Seamless Tubes. All accessory attachments plates are stamped Pletscher. It has a Sturmey Archer hub and shift lever.
Everything works great on it including the generator, front and rear lights. It has 2 keys for the lock, the leather bag (straps in bad shape), 2 sets of new (red and blue) skirt protector bungees, tools, pump, bell, and a few extra bulbs and brake pads. The original tires were all bubbled on the sidewalls and I just threw a pair on it for the pictures. I've since replaced them with new 700c tires and tubes. The original tubes are still good but the funky presta-like valves leak and need a new seal ring.
It is a very pretty bike with a wonderful paint job for a 3 speed. If I lived in a city instead of the country I'd be tempted to keep it for cruising around town. I really want to find it a good home where it will be appreciated and cared for and any information from you BF 3 speed enthusiasts and experts regarding the value and how to market will be welcomed.

That is one fine looking immaculate bike. Outfitted the way it is I can see it sell for $300 on the low side. I'm impressed. Figure market location-can really fluctuate.

Cool looking bike. It does beg for gumwall tires, though.
I hope you don't mind if I repost your picture in a larger size.

Any reasons for thinking it is of Danish origin? BTW: your Crescent is very nice!

Top tube, pump location, brushed aluminum chainguard, makes me think Dutch. Too bad you cannot make out a name on it. Here is a KOOL link to some Dutch bike life. Click on any pix to enlarge.

There _is_ a Tornado bike brand in Denmark, but it's one guy building custom track and racing frames in his garage in Odense (in fact, the last custom frame maker in Denmark, from my understanding). He's a nice guy and speaks English; you could send him an email and ask if he's heard of an older brand: https://www.tornadobike.dk/

It's Swiss.
Bilingual German/French decals, the Matterhorn, and this:
Looks like fun and unique product. No idea about value, but with a comfortable saddle it would be a joy.
