need informations on a peugeot frame, please peugeot expert come here!!!!

found a frame (finally) and here is the description of it:

the frame is a peugeot Super-Sprint DBS (brazed without lugs),with downtube shifter bosses. it comes with the original lugged, sloping crown "onza" fork, and a headset that needs to be overhauled or replaced. i'll include the original Exage medium-reach recessed bolt brake calipers, Shimano Exage alloy crankset with biopace rings, and generic cup and ball shimano bottom bracket.
This frame was built for a 7 speed rear wheel, and has a fairly tight rear triangle, so you probably can't fit a tire bigger than 700x28.

tried searching that bike on the internet and no success, anyway i think it is a protour quebec made frame (i dont mind it really since i live in QC)

well, it's almost mandatory you post pictures of what you're talking about. second, be a bit more clear about your intentions. Are you asking if you should buy it?

As far as I know, till about 1989 or so, only the Carbolite 103 and HLE bikes had lugless or internally brazed frames. Please someone correct me if this isn't correct. How much is this guy asking for the frame?

the girl is asking 130 for the whole package

seems pretty reasonable since i keep finding low end frames without component for more than that.

oh btw the bike has got forged dropout leading to think its a pretty nice frame

oh yeah i am talking about 130$ canadian

found a bianchi low end bike for 500$ lately and thats the best deal i got in the 5 months ive been searching for a frame or bike !

IIRC some 90's non-US market Peugeots did have lugless construction. The forged dropouts are a good sign, although from the description supplied, the componenets are pretty lower budget (Exage) stuff. Get a good pics of the frame specially the frame mateial decal if there is one on it. There is still a chance the frame is worth building up to something special.

Carbolite 103 = entry level frame. The tubing material does make for a solid bike, plus the forged dropouts downtube shifter bosses and I suspect, double bottle mounts are nice extras on an entry level frame, but it's no flyweight. It still could be a good buy if the frame and finish is in very good condition. Just don't pay too much for it. anythng going over 200 bucks (unless maybe its it's in super mint condition, NOS and zero miles on it, which does come up once in a while) is too much IMO, specially with the component group you mentioned attached to this bike. It is an old bike and it's not really something many collectors are looking for, although it will most likely be a generally solid bike as most Peugeots were.
