1973 Schwinn Collegiate Womens Bike Appraisal and Advice

Hi there! I'm new to the forum and I just bought a 1973 Schwinn Collegiate Women's bike for $20 at an auction. It has a ton of grim on it (I think its just been sitting in a barn for 30 years) but from what I can tell underneath all the dust and dirt thats collected on it is in good shape and what appears to be all original parts and definitely original paint. I'm curious on how much its worth all fixed up and clean. I've seen anywhere from 75 to 200 on the internet so I'm a little confused.
Also, If anyone has any advice for me on fixing up this bike I'd appreciate it so much! This will be my first time fixing up a bike, so maybe I just wasted 20 dollars, I'm not sure. It has some spotted surface rust on it and the wheels are totally rotted and I'm not sure If I should even attempt to save the rims. Any advice on worth and cleaning would be great!
Thanks!

Fully rehabbed, somewhere around $125, depending on your market and how well it turns out. While that seems like quite a bit of potential profit, you have quite a bit of work to get it to that condition. Saving the wheels is important to cost management. $200 would be a pretty high price, particularly for a ladies style.

As far as advice on fixing it up, do a search of the mechanics forum, along with this forum as well. Decide if you have the time, energy, and desire to fix it up. If not, then just clean it up really good (use Simple Green or similar). You might be able to get $50 for it as is, once you clean it up.

Thanks for the feedback, I'm not too worried about profit because I plan on keeping and riding the bike, I was just curious to its worth so I knew what to buy for it accordingly. I planned on putting energy into it, but hopefully not pulling out my hair in doing so.

A agree with other poster. Price is according to the market. Around here, one in good rideable condition, = $100. Serviced & very nice $150-175.
