Late 80's Specialized Allez
I'm thinking of checking out this late 1980's Specialized Allez, the guy wants $350. carbon frame, don't know the components. Anyone have opinion on these?
Price seems a bit high but ...

I wouldn't pay that much for that bike, but that's me. The old carbon frames do go for some money, so maybe $250, but I'm just guessing.
One thing is for sure, buying used carbon, make sure it is checked out thoroughly before you buy. The used LeMond I bought was checked out by my mechanic before I bought it.

I love the ad. Must get $350, because he must get his money back. I have an F-150 Supercrew I bought when it was two months old and with 3,800 miles. I will sell it to you now, with only 80,000 miles on it, and eight years old, but I must get my money back on it. PM me if anyone is interested.
+1 Carbon composite framed bikes from that era top out around $250 here. Buyers prefer the Trek versions, so it would take a while to sell at that price. I have Giant's version of that bike.
