Japanese built Piaggio Bianchi Identification

Hello all,

I just purchased a Piaggio era Bianchi frameset with a few components still attached. My plan is to restore it to riding condition again. I would like to know a little more about it, specifically the year it was made and confirmation of the model name. I tried searching for Bianchi serial number databases but didn't have much luck.

Here is what I already know:

The bottom bracket shell is stamped with the serial number MU06414
The bottom bracket shell is 68mm
The rear dropouts are stamped with Shimano-UF
The front dropouts are stamped with Tange TF-R
The components that were attached are Shimano 600 Arabesque, although I don't know if they are original
It is beige in color with gold logo decals.

I would attach a few photos but apparently I'm not allowed to since I haven't made 10 other postings yet.

Thank you!

Sounds like an early to mid 80's Ishiwata example.

Welcome to the forum and thank-you for posting your information.

Pic assist:

The serial number is form Tsunoda. I guess at the year, but about 1981.

Edit: The Tsunoda frames were usually the Super model.

Looks like an early 80's Professional. Sold a couple of those BITD. No idea of current value.

Thank you everyone! It actually still has a “Super” sticker on the top tube, so I believe Hummer has the correct identification of it.
