Estimated price for Bianchi Advantage Tipo 20 - (2000)?

I'm not a real bike aficionado., but am interested in getting into it.

I saw this bike for sale in person and want to know what it is worth:

Brand New - yes, still has a tag on it. Owner says he bought it about 10 years ago and has not used it - kept inside.

Here are all markings I saw on it:
Bianchi Advantage Tipo 20

Tires: parabola-xt
700 X 38c

Gear: Shimano alivio (has 1-3 on left bar, 1-7 on right bar)

Measurements:
Size (tube to pedal) = 16 1/2"
TT length = 21"
27" tires

Also, would anything deteriorate on this bike if stored for 10 years?

7 speed would make it older than a 2000.

Less than $400 new, so pretty much an entry level bike.

Maybe $150 - 200 if it's in perfect shape and fits you?

Check to see if the tires are dry, odds are if it was stored properly everything would be fine. With any bike that has been sitting for years the grease in the headset, bottom bracket and hubs might be dry so it would be good to pull them apart and repack with new grease.

Also, there is a specific forum for questions like this and your post will likely be moved there.

Thanks for the quick reply. Yes, I posted too quickly and noticed the appraisal section, but didn't think I should double post. If you moved it, great.

Must be older than 2000 or lower end if it's only a 3x7. Bikepedia says the 2000 Bianchi Advantage had an 8 speed rear. Here's a 1998: https://www.bikepedia.com/quickbike/B...tage&Type=bike

Usually a good starting point on late model bikes is half the MSRP, but if this one is truly brand new it should go for more. Maybe 2/3 of the original price. It's just a lower-mid level hybrid. Not a rare road bike that will hold its value.

You'll want to check the grease in the bearings. It might be dried up by now. Otherwise the bike should be just fine.

This type of hybrid sells for less than $100 around here. Low level components, I see no great value in NOS nature as these are often found it garage sales with less tha 500 miles as the original owner found that biking wasn't their thing.
