Jeunet track bike
Hey all.
I've got a pretty decent line on a Jeunet track bike and I'm just wondering if I might be able to get either some more detailed information on it, or an opinion, or both.
I've contacted the seller, who was posting on Kijiji (a classified site like CL) and have been in contact with her for over a month. She seems nice/trustworthy, and her and her husband are coming to my part of the world and have agreed to drop it off.
The bike is a Jeunet track, and I have no real further details. From the picture below it looks to be in good shape. They're asking $225 and I'm inclined to give it to them given all of the driving. It's a 25" and might be a bit big for me at 6'2" but I figure it's worth the risk.
Would anyone suggest AGAINST following through here? Anyone with details as to its age/value/quality?
I was able to find this page which has some better pictures of another bike with the same frame, but what look like different components...I'm guessing the one I want is much closer to being all original. https://velospace.org/node/22158
Thanks a million all!

Jeunet made a full range of track bikes including "entry level" models. They had gaspipe tubing, Normandy hubsets and other alloy components. All you're getting for your money is a frame set that looks as though it's been through the wringer. The pics could be much better.
No screaming bargain but it's a french track bike...kind of. There's (was?) a pristine example hanging on the wall of Urbane Cyclist in Toronto if you wanted to scope out what parts it had.
