Dura-Ace EX crankset
I bought an EX crankset with the pedals, put some new TA chainrings on, and never used it on the build as I got a campy gruppo for it. The pedal bearings are smooth though the bases are scraped pretty good. Everything is in great shape and I wondered if anyone would venture a guess what these might go for in the current market. I plan to give them a lick of Mothers so they are nice and shiny.

Although I'd love to see pictures of the cranks, I did notify the moderators to move this thread into the appraisal section. You'll get far better results there, as far as a price estimate.

One, nice to know TA rings of a type will fit. Having TA rings will drop the value though, even though they look close to original.
These were originally anno finished, at lease all I have seen, so a bit more drop.
The condition of the pedal bearings is important, as is the toe clip size, and crank length to a point.
The bearings are not that hard to adjust once you have the proper tools, with out, bummer. They are different to say the least to repack.
The other plus, Alexi Grewal rode this type of crank and pedal to victory at the 1984 Olympics.

I have the original chainrings, though the small one is about halfway through its life. The TA are ten speed to have matched the rest of the drivetrain and thus needed to fit the narrower chain and different pickup/dropoff from the original 6 speed. The date code, EA, agrees they were not manufactured during the AX period and they are 70's. Also the pedal bearings are in very good shape and spin smoothly and the scrapes on the bottoms are cosmetic and not deep. The cages are size large which as far as I know is the largest they made and fits most better than the medium. Apples to apples I was really just looking for a ballpark figure as I got the cranks and new chainrings very cheaply. I have done a lot of research on most everything about the cranks and current uses for the pedal style, rather cool and very overpriced from Europe, but unfortunately that include a fair market value. Thanks for the help.
I did notice, looking on velobase for example, that the cranks appeared to be anodized the same way that my pedals are. I bought the cranks from and old racer in CA and have to wonder if is was part of a production run for sponsored athletes or promotion. I certainly hope you are wrong about the difference making them less valuable.

I have this crank on my italian bike do you know what size of bottom bracket spindle do i need? now it has a 113mm but the crank arms stick out too much, any information will be appreciated, thanks

The OEM bottom bracket used a 109mm, symmetrical spindle. That will only reduce the protrusion by 2mm per side, which would typically not be very noticeable. There are very few exceptions to the two degree taper but different companies used to have different end widths and lengths for the taper, which would affect how far the crankset would sit onto the spindle. It sounds like you may have a compatibility issue between the crankset and spindle. What make and era of spindle are you using? If you're using a modern spindle and are planning on using the same brand, then all you need to do is reduce the overall length by twice the distance that you want to move the crankarms inwards on one side.
