Value for my vintage Bianchi.

Bianchi..jpgderailer..jpgBianchi logo..jpg

I have a 1970's, Bianchi road bike and I need to find its possible value.

Here are the specs that I can identify: 10 sd., 31", color: Celeste with red Bianchi lettering, Campagnio derailer, levers, Levar crankset, Nevar sport pedal, Universal Extra brakes with Weinnann brake levers, bars unknown..made in Italy, wheels also unknown with Vittoria Mondaile sew-ups, Ideale leather seat. The bike is in good condition with some cosemetic chipping to paint.

Can anyone out there give me a good guess at the value of this bike?? Thank you!!

I have one almost exactly like it, and another with same frame but different components. I like them both, but the one similar to yours the best. If you post it on ebay you might could get $350-450 maybe a little more for its condition. Depends on if the Bianchi buyers are out. The lower end Campy Valentino Extra rear derailluer kinda puts a damper on the price going higher. They are cool bikes and you might hang on to it for a while before you sell it. Bianchi did not start shipping into the US until 1980.

I have a brochure from the US distributor. It is from the late 60's/ early 70's.

Hmmm, interesting vjp...well, I am guilty once again guilty of repeating something I have read like 20 other places on the internet and assuming it was right.

I would be very interested in seeing the brochure only in that I would like to know as much as possible about Bianchi, and that would be a very
great piece of information to put in my data compulation. Think you could scan and post it? or just let me know who the distributor was and what city? I would appreciate it!

I have an older Bianchi that may have looked like this before the last owner cast the original parts to the breeze. Nice bike, I really wish it was mine.
