1980's Peugeot Bike

Hey guys, this is my own ad. I just wanted to get some feedback on the price I'm asking. I'm just thinning the herd out and I just want to get these to someone who would take care of them. I'm not to trying to make this a for sale ad on the forum. I just don't know if this is a fair price.

Too cheap.

Take full size pictures, use photobucket or flickr to host. Sell them separately. Raise the seats to at least the height of the handlebars. They should not last long regardless, but better marketing will get you more $$ and faster sales.

Assuming the P8 has steel rims, I would be putting a set of alloy rims on it. With the smaller size, once it has alloy rims, it would be pretty desirable. Fortunately I have some donor bikes where I can "borrow" some wheels.

Pictures sell bikes. More quality pictures, full size. Craigs List pictures suck, really suck. Buyers can't see details, cleanliness, bikes just don't pop.

Both are low end, stem shifter bikes. But buyers like Peugeots, and will pay a premium for them.

+1 to Bills comments.

1. Run seperate ads for each. CL doesnt let you run ads everyday. By running then seperatly you can post the same everey other day or so while alternating the other. If someone calls about one you can always say, "I actually have 2 bikes".....
2. List them at $175 each and negotiate down to $125-150 each
3. Host your pics on Photobucket or Flickr and copy/paste the html code into your CL ad.
4. 'Fix' your photos if needed. I open all of my pics in Windows picture viewer or whatever it is my computer has and click the 'fix' button then click the 'auto' button which obviously lets my computer auto-fix the pics. From there I upload them into photobucket.

I usualy post 3 pics of my CL bikes. Here are samples from one of my latest CL ads:

Thanks for the tips guys. I'll see about making my next ads better. I have someone coming tomorrow to pick them up. I don't have a lot of money in them so it will be good to move them along. Miamijim- it's funny you should post pics of that Trek 400, I just pick this one up. I'll be bringing this one up to speed and listing later on.
