Need help with the value of a 3 speed 1972 Raleigh Sports w/ a Sturmey Archer AW hub
Hi eveyone,
We need help determining the value of a 3 speed 1972 Raleigh Sports with a Sturmey Archer AW
hub. It is in very good condition. All original and hardly used. There are pics of the bike in a
thread I started years ago in the Classic and Vintage forum. The thread is:
Greetings (and need help) from Staten Island
https://www.bikeforums.net/showthread...+Archer+AW+hub
Thanks for any help anyone can offer.
Ralph

I paid $75 (CAD) for a '77 Raleigh sport with all original parts.
Yours has a rear rack that mine lacks and has slightly nicer paint, but I would expect to get something vaguely in the same territory. Maybe up to $100?
But these things also seem super reliant on location. Big cities seem to have a big market for roadsters as commuter bikes and there are fewer of them than in the rural parts of the north east where they seem to have been super common as country bikes.
Put it up on Craigs list for a higher amount than you expect to get and then slowly bring it down over a few weeks if you get no takers.
