Replacing a chainring on a 1981 Bianchi Rekord 748

Hi All,
I am almost certain that I have a 1981 Bianchi Rekord 748. The crankset is a Gipiemme crank with a 42/52. I’m looking to replace the 42 chainring with a 39, but I don’t know which 39 chainring are compatible or where I can find a replacement. Can anyone please help me?
Happy New Year! May all our bicycle dreams come true...

I recommend you ask the moderators to move this to the C&V forum or the Bike Mechanics forum. You'll get some responses there. Not too many here in the eveluation fourm. OR
You can cross post yourself to those two forums.

First, you need to determine your BCD (bolt circle diameter?) if you haven't already. The few vintage Gipiemme cranks that have passed through my hands have been 144bcd. If your crank is 144bcd, the smallest is a 41t or 42t ring.
