Vitus 181 - Peugeot, Claims its a PFN10 HELP!!

https://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/bik/2068617875.html

Here is the link, it has been up on craigslist for quite some time now. I'm curious what you guys think about this bike. Is it worth what he is asking? Is it a rare find?

Any help is greatly appreciated, I know this forum has deep knowledge of these kinds of bikes!

Thanks!!

Neil

personally I think it might be a bit high. if the "low mounted aero levers" were actually in the correct position you may not need the extra levers. if the seller is the one doing the work, well regardless who is doing it I suspect this need a good going over before it is ready to ride.

now if that stand came with it for $260......

The stem looks a little high (check for thread damage if it is) With the upgrades mentioned, I don't think its out of line on price. Lightweight steel frames are getting scarce, especially if its your size! Worth a look see.

Been up on Craigs List for quite a while now in a large metro area = overpriced. The market has spoken.

Aluminum replacement fork hurts value too, and makes me wonder if the bike was in a crash. Pass.

Undesirable, goofy shifters too. Lousy bar tape job.

IMHO, it would be slightly overpriced if it was all original and pristine. It is far from original, which makes it much more overpriced.

Ad wording is straight from central casting. Pass, pass, pass.
