Need help identifying bogus Colnago Super
1 Attachment(s)
I have a bike I bought used back in 1987 from a guy who built bikes for Ross and was an avid cyclist, but a bit shady. It has Colnago Super decals on it, but they are not clear coated over. They guy I bought it from admits it was repainted and he had to prove it was a Colnago to get the manufacturers decals. Thing is, it has Shimano dropouts and a Tange BB. I don't know any Colnago's that have Japanese lugs. It has none of the typical Colnago Shamrocks on the stays, fork or lugs. However, it is a very well made frame, very light, and I have wone a few races with it...just don't know what it really is.
Any ideas? THe only identifying characteristics are what I mentioned. I've attached a photo |
