Vintage Motobecane - HELP

I am going to look at this bike later today. This is the biggest picture of the bike he had and doesn't know anything about the bike except that he won't take less than $110. Based on what I could find on the net and the color of the bike, I am thinking it is early 80's Super Mirage (that is a total guess). What models would be worth the price in this condition, if any? I know it has 700c wheels and it is my size.

From the seller:
"This is a Vintage MOTOBECANE Modele Diffusion. It will need a tune up and new tires before it becomes rideable."

What has changed since you posted this thread?

At $110 it wouldn't be worth it if you were trying to flip.

With the pump, fenders, & rack and if you knew how to tune up a bike, it might be worth it as a keeper.

I just went and looked at this bike and sure enough it is a "Modele Diffusion". There is no other sticker or indicator on the bike. The BB is stamped with the number 1780 and they said they got it from a woman who moved here from Europe. I took what picts I could. He is dead set on the price of $110. Can anyone tell anything else from these picts (cell phone picts).

Well the bike has a cotterless crank which is good... could be a stronglight, most likely a sr or something along those lines... Downtube shifters which indicate it was not a bottom of the barrel bike (most bottle of barrel have shifters mounted on stem)

Bike has quick release front and rear which is good...

What is the rear derailleur, suntour or possibly campy? If the bike has campagnolo shifting components its worth $110 as a flip...

The saddle appears to be avocet touring 1 saddle which could be worth about 25 bucks on the net...

What is your goal for the bike? Its not a light bike, I can tell you that...
