Phillips True Temper 10 spd road bike - sturmey archer 5 spd external hub?
 

Hey Guys,

I have picked this up a few months ago. I dusted off the cobwebs and put some newer tires on it... I believe its early 50's from what I can gather from a few ebay adverts...

I have been unable to find any information on the bike and am curious what its worth...

The components seem somewhat rare to me... I had assumed the rear hub is sturmey archer since it has a sturmey archer "chain stop"... The front rim is even a sturmey archer and it appears to be laced to a sturmey archer hub (please verify with photo)... The rear wheel is a very old Rigida wheel (the model escapes me at this moment)...

Shifting components are full huret... The brakes are GB 88, calipers and levers...

The bike is heavy as all get out... but built like a tank. It has braze on's for all touring accessories. I have been unable to locate one like it on ebay anywhere...

What is it worth?

This is Greg who bought that bike from you. It was just recently stolen from my back yard in Philadelphia so if you see or hear anything about it, let me know.
