    1987 Schwinn Travelerr W.I.W.

I have a 1987 Schwinn traveler and all the original parts exc. bar tape, tires, and chain. It's currently built up as a fixed gear which I'm sure devalues it, but what is it worth when it is in it's original form?

I ask because I just found one on eBay for an amount that I thought was obscene. Are these actually worth something? (no, I'm not selling it so don't try to low ball and offer )

The only wear is a few chips in the paint and a few small punctures in the saddle.

    From the 1987 Schwinn Catalog:

Here are some pictures for reference:

I can say that the lady's model is not worth much around here. I have picked up 2 of them for $10 each in the last couple of years. They have been great parts donors as they are equipped with reliable components. I would think the men's model is a $150 bike in a decent market.

    1. When looking at ebay, only look at completed auctions. For current auctions, sellers can ask anything they want, but are they getting it?

Looking at completed SUCCESSFUL auctions for Schwinn Travelers, I see the highest paid price of $80.

There is a XXXX asking $479 for one right now, but he has not gotten any bites. I guess that seller is hoping that a bidder doesn't know enough to look at completed auctions.
