Centurion Turbo Mystery Bike
Hello everyone,
I just bought this Centurion Turbo and I am curious in regards to two things:
1. Did I pay a fair price for it?
2. How much could I sell it for if I parted it out or sold it as complete?
Here is the link to the ended ebay auction where I bought it from. After shipping I paid about $550.
https://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...C8dgi8Dvo%253D
I posted another thread asking for information on this model, and the quick response by Chicago Al indicates that while it uses the same name “Turbo” as the 1983-1984 models illustrated in Sheldon Brown’s website, it is more likely a later model around 1989 sold outside the United States. This makes sense as the seller was from Austria, and the serial code, Y8C4684, seems to indicate from T-Mar that the frame is a 1988. The Suntour Ole group set seems to be around 1989 as well.
I am curious if I should keep the bike and enjoy it’s character myself or sell it either as a complete bike or part it out. I love it, and it really is as great looking in person as it is in the pictures, but I also think this is a very unique bike and possibly the last new one of its kind. I have not been able to find another Centurion “Turbo” of this year that looks like it anywhere on the internet. I know it’s not Shimano Sante, but its still really cool looking. They don't seem to have been sold in the US either.
There is a seller on ebay currently listing the same frames in nos condition, different size than mine, for about $300 before shipping from Italy.

While they aren't selling fast and possibly over priced, at least one person thinks they are worth that price, and the Ole group set seems rare, even if it's not had the best reviews.
All opinions are welcome and thank you for your time

Would like to buy
Hello,
Did you end up selling this bike or do you still have it? If you still have it I would like to buy it. Please reach out to me.
If you sold this bike can you please tell me who you sold it to.
I really want it because it is the right size for me. Thank you so much.
Regards, Joshua

Joshua, welcome to Bike Forums. The original poster hasn't check in for 8 years. I doubt that you will hear from them.

By the way, we have a forum Marketplace for vintage bikes. The Marketplace is the only authorized area for For Sale or Want To Buy posts. https://www.bikeforums.net/classic-vintage-sales/
You'll need to make 10 good posts and become a paid forum member in order to post there. https://www.bikeforums.net/payments.php
I suggest going into our Introductions forum and tell us a bit about yourself and maybe say hello to other new forum members. https://www.bikeforums.net/introductions/
We're now going to close this Zombie thread.
