1976 Paramount Ladies
8 Attachment(s)
I've been doing a little bit of research and have figured out that this is a late 1976 Ladies Paramount. It is exceptionally rust free with minimal scratches. Stickers and headbadge are also great.
From what I can tell everything is stock except the handlebars (don't know where they came from but the grips do say Schwinn), and the stem is SR. The rest is primarily Campy including hubs, crankset, pedals, front derailleur, seatpost, headset, and fork ends. The seat is a Brooks professional, the wheels Weineman, the frame Reynolds 531 and the rear derailleur a gt300. Apparently the original owner was trying to convert this to a cruiser(why??) and chose the optional twin-stik stem shifters when ordering this bike. Somebody also added a kickstand along the way. I don't know if those handlebars were put on at the LBS pre-purchase or not. If it were a Men's bike I know it would be worth a bit, but I'd love to get a sense of value as a Ladies' model. Thanks so much. |
Good chance that is how it was "delivered" to the initial retail customer. Value on these is really tough, the parts will individually sell for a much as the whole bike probably. Factory triple crank, maybe even a 165 mm... Here is a case where rare does not equal better sales price. $400 as a bike, more parted out.

As with most bikes I find, I am starting to grow attached to this one... |
With the triple, it's a P65. The original bars were Schwinn p/n 55 110 15" wide aluminum alloy drop bars.
I'm guessing $500 - $700 in good condition with original bars. http://www.trfindley.com/flschwinn_1...80/1976_13.jpg |
