Looking at buying - 10 speed Vintage C.C.M. Targa Road Bike

I'm looking for a road bike to ride to work on (9km one way) and to train on for a triathlon I'll be doing (my first one). I don't want to spend tons on a bike in case I for some reason decide it's not for me, I'd rather spend some, get use out of it, and if I outgrow it, then spend the money on a better bike.

Any how, the specs are listed as is for $250:

Owned since new. Garage stored when not in use. Recently completely refurbished at a cost of $303. New tires & tubes, wheels & spokes, brake pads & cables, stand, shifters, grips & a new gel seat. Ridden once since rebuilt.

I'm waiting on a reply back on it's size (I'm 6') but otherwise, any thoughts on the bike and price?

Thanks.

I agree I would stay far from that. for 250 you would be better off buying a Wallymart bike and having a shop assemble it.

Thanks all, I will continue looking, I'm glad I posted on here

Anyone have any suggestions on what type of things I should keep an eye out for? I'm a complete bike newbie, my current bike is a 2006 Sedona DX which I like, but is more of a mountain bike.
