Road bike search Day 2:

I am planning on checking out this bike today. Again, I appreciate any help you can give me. How much should I offer? Thanks ahead of time,

Brian

Looks like a good buy, I own two Super Grand Prixs. One English and one Japanese and they both ride really well.

I love mine.

Edit- I'm confused, is he asking $160.00 or $250.00? If it hasn't been serviced I'd say $160.00 is tops.

Yeah, the price he's asking for is unclear. I think he's listed it a few times and nobody went for it so he lowered the price to $160. I guess we'll see. Thanks for your input.

Thanks for your help peeps. I checked it out and it was in really great condition, everything worked, shifted well, true wheels, brakes were well-adjusted, so talked him down and I bought it. Yes, it's an entry-level bike, but that's what I want; this is my first road bike. Also, I live in Cleveland where bikes are stolen left and right, so I don't want anything too flashy. Thanks again.

Congratulations, "entry level" or not they're great riding bikes.

When I hit the local trails on my "entry level" SGP I blow past plenty of people on "high end" bikes that cost more than my whole fleet of bikes

Yes! I've been taking my old mountain bike w/slicks to work and school for the past year (10 mi commute), I'm excited to see what I can do on this little guy.
