Nishiki Prestige road bike
https://boston.craigslist.org/bmw/bik/2484432481.html ... is this worth $250?
Right now I'm trying to decide between this bike, a Bianchi Strada, and a Schwinn World Sport (see my other threads for more detail).
Thank you!

OK, let me disagree. Its worth it. In fact, it is a DEAL. First, if you need a Terry style bike, they are hard to find, and have pretty good (high) value. Secondly, the Prestige was a good bike in its own right, I sold one two weeks ago for $265, sold another for $250. And those were not Terry style. I would consider the Terry style to have a $75 to $100 premium, BUT ONLY IF you need a really, really, small adult bike.
World Sport is crap compared to this bike, no comparison. I've had several WS.
Frankly, I am surprised this bike is still available. I doubt it will last long.
If you are around 5-0, you should be in your car driving right now.
New Terry road bikes start at $1700.

I agree w/ thrifty bill. I have a 1986 Nishiki Prestige with the tange 2 frame an it is one of the best riding bikes I have owned. It is worth 10 times the Schwinn in my book. Gas pipe Schwinns are suddenly hot around here and I haven't a clue why.

trapezeswinger,
i'll agree with bill and bent that it is worth the price, based on frame alone. If you 're short (like me) finding nice riding frames which fit appropriately is a bit hard. the only reason why i would discount the price is that all the parts are suntour, and if you're not handy, you'll be hard pressed to find new compatible parts of the same caliber if something goes bad.
please buy it so i don't buy it just for hilarity's sake.
