1983 Torelli Express SLX

So, I attained this frame for 100$ about 6 months ago. The frame was in great shape, made with Columbus SLX tubes, and after contacting Bill McGann of Torelli Imports I found out it was made by Antonio Mondonico. Mondonico was apparently one of the more esteemed and skilled builders that Torelli had contracted to build frames for them. I was able to figure out the bike was Mondonico built because of his signature use of the pinning and brazing method. Long story short I had the frame powdercoated and went about hanging some Shimano 600Ex components on it. After a lot of work this is how the bike looks now, she's buttery smooth. Out of curiosity I'd like to hear what some of you guys have to say about the approximate value of this bike as it sits, components and all. Please

I purchased a very clean Torelli Strada for a friend's daughter two years ago.

It also was built from Columbus SLX.

Granted, not an Express.

Had a complete Shimano 600 gruppo. other than a DA hubbed/Open Pro wheelset.

The bike handled beautifully.

I paid $350 and thought that was a decent amount at the time.

I always like the Torelli bikes and thought they were well made. however the owners were in too deep with 10spd drive to added Torelli/Mondonico frames.

this would make a great peice of scaffolding

Not sure I know what you're saying. It's got a 7 speed set up right now.
