Eddy Merckx with Campy C Record

Hello, I am considering selling a few bikes and have this mid-80s Merckx with mostly C record components including Delta brakes. Frame is Columbus SLX. Trying to get an idea on value. Bike is in very good condition.

Thanks in advance!

Beauty! Top notch.

The size will be a bit of a challenge. I'll start the ball rolling by throwing out a SWAG (sophisticated wild ass guess).

$1500?

Well...maybe. The taller Merckx bikes don't seem to fetch the prices that the 53-57cm sizes bring, even though it's SLX with a nice group and in beautiful shape.

Big bikes don't sell very well. I guess you would get around $1000-$1200.

For 1000 I probably know someone who would take it.
In my opinion it is worth much more however. The C-Record Group could bring alone 900 dollars in good condtion

Thanks for the responses. I have a Merckx MXL as well, so the red/white one is a bit redundant. Wonderful bike, though. Will try to keep it if I can.

Hi, if it's a 60 c-c, I could be interested. I need to replace my Weigle that was lost to a car crash a couple of weeks ago. Well, maybe not replace, but use until I get to the front of his queue, whenever that might be.

Thanks. I believe it is a 62 with a 58 tt. I will get specific measurements and report back.

Eddy Merckx Size

My bent Weigle, which I'm looking to get something to use while it's repaired or replaced, is a 59 c-c seat tube, 57 c-c top. If this bike is a similar size, let's talk.
