My '74 Super Course MkII - How much is it worth?

I recently acquired a Motobecane Grand Jubilee so I'm going to be trying to sell my old faithful Super Course MkII. It's a 1974 model, all original components (huret drivetrain, nervar cranks, Reynolds 531). Paint is in poor shape as it's been my daily driver for about 10 years, but the bike rides well, frame and wheels are straight and true. Given the prices in the NYC area, how much would be a fair asking price? I feel like I see considerably lesser bikes priced outrageously high on CL here, and I never see a Super Course MkII, but given that the cosmetics are iffy I don't know what to ask.

Thanks for any help!

Pictures? Condition is a major factor in value. Without pictures it is impossible to assess.

$300.

But really - poor paint to one person means something entirely different to another. Pics required.

OK - here's a few pics. As I said, the paint is dodgy but it's in great mechanical shape. It could use a good cleaning, as well (which I'll do before I try to sell it).

Thanks for your advice!

Roy

Those aren't the original forks, are they? That will detract from value to collectors. Otherwise, it is in fair shape and might bring $200 or so. At least in my market.

$200 sounds about right. It looks rough.

D'oh! You're right, I just looked at the catalog again, and it is a replacement fork. Oh well. I always thought it looked kind of snazzy. Any way of identifying the brand of fork it is?

Thanks for the advice! So, $200; I might try pricing it at $250 given the inherent inflation of bike prices in NYC. I wouldn't sneeze at $200, though. The bike cost me 75 bux about 12 years ago, so I think I've gotten my money out of it...

New York City??? Ok, so why is there a pic of San Francisco in your shots?

I have no idea why there's a thumbnail of San Francisco attached to my post. When I uploaded the pics, this "attached thumbnails" window popped into the post. I don't even know where that pic came from, it isn't on my computer! I also haven't been able to remove it through trying to edit my post.

I can assure you I live in The People's Republic of Brooklyn.

Ok, finally figured out how to get rid of the San Fran pic. I have no idea where that came from...

Many but not all forks are marked with the brand and a date code on the steering tube. Of course, this requires pulling the fork to see it.

Must have been a vacation photo you accidentally put on.
