For a rainy day: what's my Paramount worth?

I would only consider selling my Paramount under extreme financial duress. Things have been tight lately, and even though I'm trying my best to hold on to it, I still think I should get an appraisal... just in case.

Details and pictures below. More specs here:
    http://www.pedalroom.com/bike/1990-s...amount-os-2197

The frame is a Waterford-built, 1990 Schwinn Paramount OS. 54cm x 54 cm. True temper tubing. Original neon yellow paint job with reflective, "metallic gray" (for lack of better description) decals.

Dura-Ace 7400 everything, except bars and stem (Cinelli Campione del Mondo), and pedals (MKS GR-9, steel clips, Fit Alpha straps).

Rims are Mavic Open 4 CD.

    Tires are Specialized Mondo S-Works.

Saddle is a 1986 (not a reissue) Selle Italia Turbo in suede.

Everything is in excellent condition. Only a small dent on downtube and a pair of small scratches on seat tube close to FD clamp. Overall I'd give it a 9/10.

The 80s/90s Paramounts are obviously not worth what the old ones are, but yours is a very nice example - both the condition and the full DA. I wouldn't sell it for less than $350, but I'd be surprised if you got more than $400 for it.

I just picked up an early 90s Paramount for my buddy for $150, but it only has RX100 components. Still a sweet ride though.

I see. I've heard that about the "Asian" Series paramounts. Was the one you bought one of those?

I had a 1992 Series 5 with Shimano 105 before. It was a sweet bike but considerably less nice than this one. I left it open to offers and received $500 for it.

The "NYC premium" may have had something (or a lot) to do with that. Figured this one, being a lugged, Waterford-built one with much better components might sell for more.

That said, I could just leave this one open to offers as well and see what happens. But I wanted to get a ballpark of what it could sell for outside of NYC should I decide to go beyond the local listings.

Thanks a lot for chiming in. Appreciate it. Keep it coming.

That is a hot looking bike, I wouldn't sell it.

Yeah, it was this bike: http://www.trfindley.com/flschwinn_1...1PmntPg07.html

And I think he got a pretty good deal on it. Since I forgot about the Asian/Waterford difference, and the fact that you live in NYC my previous estimate is probably pretty low. Maybe $500? 6? Now I think I'm just guessing...

I would say $6 - $800 depending on condition and market, and how it is presented for sale. The size and location of the dent will factor also.
