1989 Centurion IronMan Master 48cm

1989 Centurion IronMan Master - Pedal Room

Bought this for my wife but she wants a more relaxed cruiser than a full on race bike.

How much do you think it's worth?
It's in pretty good shape. I cleaned it up a bit since those photos and I took off the old computer.

If all you did was wipe of the dirt and dust it is worth about $20 more than you paid.

I'd easily pay 200 for it to strip the group and wheels.

I'm going to replace the tires with Serfas Secas, I'll probably slap new brake cables and shifter cables on it too if it helps the value, but it shifts and stops great. The cables just aren't bright and shiny.
I was going to strip the groupset off it, but it's a really nice bike and I think someone would be really happy with it. someone tiny.

I would raise the seat. I wouldn't swap the cables if everything works great.

List it for $299. New tires as you specified and a white Origin8 Aero saddle $15 will help.

Sadly, at least around here, Craigslist has turned into a huge joke. Full of inflated values, and very few actually good deals.

well, can't hurt to place it high and work my way down on CL for a bit. I need to clean it up and snap some beauty shots before I get serious.

Depends on market , I would be surprised if it goes over $250.00 here, downtube shifters kill it for people with money IMO. This has not sold in half a month at $250.00 Centurion Ironman Road Bike

I was thinking more along the lines of overhauling the bearings and getting that 30 you grease out.

Good for you. Too bad you had to sell such a lovely bike, though. Looks like it was in excellent I condition.

It was, but not the right bike for the wife.
I made a good amount of money on it though...
