Another "what's it worth" thread 1961? Schwinn

Time to thin the herd. Can someone give me an ideal of what i should ask for this bicycle? I couldnt find anything on ebay to base the price on.

It has some small spots of corrosion. The stamp on the frame near the left rear axle reads b1?7510. Also, i live in eugene oregon, and it's a pretty popular biking city.

    THANKS!

Around here old cruisers like that go from around $50-$100. Yours is a men's model which is better than a woman's, and a Schwinn which is better than a lot of the department store bikes floating around. Condition appears to be pretty decent for how old it is (obviously the saddle is not original.)

If it were me I'd probably ask $150 for it but be prepared to take less especially now in the middle of winter.

The problem with Schwinns like this they are so common that there are often time several advertised on CL on any given day on CLs in bigger markets. So one needs to be in prestine all original condition to get good value. As is you should be able to sell the bike for a $100 but I would ask more to start with as said $150 sounds like an OK staring point.

About $150 retail in Boston at this time of year as a commuter. Too bad you don't have the fenders and chainguard.
