I am new to the forum, so be gentle on me. I am in the process of buying a new road bike - so I'm getting ready to sell my old road bike. When I first bought the "old" one, I was new to road bikes, didn't really get the lingo, it was awhile ago, etc. so I do not remember the exact year on the bike. With that said, when I list the bike, I want to make sure that I am true to the exact year. I was hoping someone on here could help me out. This is what I know about the parts that are original to the bike: Specialized Allez A1 Sport. Frame: Premium Aluminum. Fork: Premium Aluminum. Ultegra component package (BR 6500). Crank: Specialized Sugino G-11. Handlebars: Cinelli. Shift and brake levers: Shimano Ultegra Flightdeck. Headset: Ritchey Logic. Triple Chainring: SS130P 52-42-30. Everything else, including cassette are NOT original to the bike. The paint scheme is Orange/Black combo, which I found in a 1999 Specialized Allez Sport, but, in my research, I have found that Specialized didn't put A1 on the frame as a decal in 1999 and my bike does have the A1 decal. Also, the 1999 model had Shimano 105 components, as opposed to Ultegra, like mine. I really thought the bike was around a 2001. If memory serves me correctly, the MSRP was around $1600. If anyone has any advice, it would be appreciated. I've burned up internet sources trying to find a year. Serial number, by the way, is MK8H1602.
