    NOS Campagnolo High Flange hubs and skewers

    These are the Records with the oil port. 120mm spacing in the rear. I don't need these and I would like to get a good estimate of their worth before listing them for sale in the marketplace. I've scoured ebay history but NOS examples have been completed recently. A quick google search yields past auctions going at around $300-350.

    Thoughts?

    I've seen them listed for that price, but rarely selling for anywhere near that price. The ones that go for high prices are the rarer stuff, like track hubs, hi-lo flange bubs and C-record sheriff star hubs. Price will be dependent on the exact vintage (date located on back of locknuts) and threading standard. Also, are you planning to sell via C/L or Ebay or something else?

    I picked up a pair, no skewers, for $88.00 last year. Not sure if it was here, CL, or E-Bay. They are very clean, 120 mm, oil ports, spin nicely before a re-pack (haven't gotten around to it yet...)

    So I'd extrapolate the the HF should go for around $250-275?

    What years are more desirable?

    To some, especially those with heavy electronic wallets they will not go for that much, probably $100 to $120. These are later hubs, note the stamping of the style of threading vs, the earlier code, and have the later front axle, locknut design. (no satin chrome washer) They do have the earlier skewers... nice for some but not a match.

    Curved levers, Campagnolo in script, locked /unlocked stamping on levers, bulbous end added to the cone, one had to not be able to puncture oneself ya' know.

    Note the satin chrome washer is absent on the off drive side of the rear axle too, later design.

    I thought the modifications were silly, but I must admit many customers needed to be taught how to operate quick release skewers, many felt you wound them tight, only type that worked that way were the Hi-E units and they broke, of course they were ALL all aluminum. The later "lawyer lips" added to many forks just confused people even more, they never read the stampings on the levers... but I digress. The lowest common denominator is pretty low.

    Oh! actually I do have the curved skewers! I assumed, wrongly so, that the original owner had swapped skewers with the one's in the box on the Cinelli.

    200 to 250/ Im dying for a pair of those. Looking for used around 100 to 120 in decent shape six speed.

    Having the period correct parts makes it easier to describe. In general though, if the hubs were from the earlier period they would be worth much more as a NOS set.
