interesting old Peugeot: ID, value?
acquired this bike from someone who did not want to bother with it. gave it a THOROUGH cleaning and overhaul, new bar tape, cables, and tires. the saddle has a nasty tear in it but it's otherwise very clean.

Does that rear derailleur actually shift? The body stop is broken or something as the body is canted way too far forward and it looks like the cage is practically hitting the chain stay.

Low value, but high fun value. If the saddle height is where you ride it, it looks a little big for you.

how do you know how tall I am? it's actually quite big for me. the RD works fine, but it looks strange indeed.
I am selling it locally. I have no interest in riding it, just selling it. i just have no idea what a fair price would be. |
There are many things that impact Vintage Bicycle Value. Your bicycle is pretty darn big and that, in itself, will severely limit your market, driving value down. But the bicycle looks to be in really nice shape and that is a plus. You are in a large market and that is a plus. I would guess that you should get between $175 and $250.00 for the bicycle. If, however, you have good marketing skills, you just might get more.
Sadly, there is really no way to accurately determine how much an old road bicycle, or any old bicycle for that matter, will sell for. I wish you good luck with the bike and please remember I am offering a value guess based on very similar bicycles that I have sold in the past. |
