Bianchi Campione D'Italia

What is the value of the bike below? (Assuming it is in fair/good condition). The seller does not state what component group is on and claims it is in great condition. I will check it out in person, I just wanted to get an idea of what type of offer I should make. The seller does not state price, only says that these sell on ebay for $400-$500 so I am assuming he wants something less than that. Is it from the mid 90s? Did these come with campy groupsets?

Any help will be appreciated!

Not sure on the bike itself but the rust on the components, spokes, rim eyelets, etc drops the value considerably. This bike certainly needs a complete overhaul plus whatever parts are no longer useable. Tires look dry rotted, those are probably junk too.

No matter what you do, before you buy make sure the stem and seatpost are not stuck. They can be a bear to get out. If the seller is expecting $4-500 for this bike he is out of the ballpark IMO.

Good info. Hadn't thought about stem and seat post being stuck. The seller in his last communication claims that he is currently accepting offers and that he has three so far, $300, $350 and $375. What should I offer him given that it needs overhauled? Would $100-$150 be fair? I feel he is BSing about the offers because he would have sold it for $375 in a heartbeat.
