I've been searching around the internet the past few days in research of vintage bicycles. This past week I have been at my grandfather's house with family emptying out the house and getting ready to sell. Yesterday I went into the garage for the first time in many years and this was hung up on the wall with rope. It immediately caught my eye and I could not stop checking it out. This bicycle was handed down to my aunt when she was a kid and I liked it so much she told me I could have it if I wanted to take it. It's weird, I know it's a girls bike (I'm a 26 year old guy) but minus that basket I think it's pretty sweet!

I posted some pictures on another forum I found yesterday and was told that the serial number on this bike correlated to it being an early 1937 CWC Roadmaster. I posted that the serial number was 312769. * I left out that there was an 85 that I just saw today after more inspection, and I'm not sure what that number is * Here is what I was told:

So today I found this forum and figured see what you guys think the overall value a bicycle like this is worth. Thanks a lot!

Well it looks very nice and looks pretty original. Pricing ladies bikes is always difficult because usually they're worth less than the equivalent men's model, but sometimes there will be somebody who just really wants one. I could see somebody paying $150-$250 for a 1930s men's CWC bike in this condition easily. There was a 1940s CWC ladies on ebay recently, but no bids at $175 - but it was a later model, and did not have that rack.

What type of value could you see if this was restored? I'm definitely not selling it right now I'm just trying to figure out what I have.

It doesn't really look like it needs restoration, just a good cleaning and tune. I guess you could re-string the skirt guard though.

There is no way to accurately determine Vintage Bicycle Value, even though lots of people will say this is worth so much or so little, and that includes me. The bike pictured will be very hard to put a price on today, but it will be worth more cleaned up and it will increase in value with the passing of time.

At today's market value and depending on your location, marketing skills, time of year and the condition of the economy, the bike might fetch $200.00. However, cleaned up and marketed well and with patience could see it fetch considerably more. There is just no way to tell for sure.

That taillight is worth $50 at least. Try the cabe. You can get I see $150 to $25o selling price depending on how good it cleans up and the buyer.
