This was a recent trade-in and my boss thinks this thing should come home with me. It was ridden hard and put away wet but I'm pretty sure I can pick it up for cheap. Other than a few old posts on some of the cycling forums, I can't find much information on the web about these. It's probably a pretty rare bike.



So this is not so much a monetary value question, it's more of a "should I bother with it?" question. I'm sure the parts are well worth it but I hate parting bikes out.

This is the deal breaker for me. I can't tell if it's structural or just a paint crack. The frame would still make a great wall-hanger but I don't have any wall space for it.





Any idea how this seatpost comes out?

I didn't give it much of a look over, I only had time to take a few quick pix. I did notice corrosion on the stem and a lot of the hardware which tells me that this bike will fight me every inch of the way if I decide to tear it down for an overhaul.
