1983 or 1984 Kuwahara Alley Cat
I picked this bike up a long time ago from the shop where I worked. The lady traded it for a new hybrid bike, and I've held on to it for all these years.
It's all original, except for the saddle...
Dia Compe 980 Cantilevers w/ 981 4 finger levers
Suntour 7 derailleurs w/ Suntour Power Ratchet Shifters
SR crank with MKS plastic Platform pedals
Araya 7X 26 x 1.50 rims with Suzue "Sealed" hubs
IRC 26 x 1.75" 'cruiser' tires
Ishiwata Cro-Moly frame 17.5" mixte
With the exception of the saddle (and possibly the rubber) there isn't a shred of MIT or PRC manufacturing to be found on this bike.
Any guesses regarding the value of this little missy?
Alan

Great 80's bike with somewhate unique Triple rear and lugs. Not sure of the exact value but if everytings good I could see this selling for a couple of hundred in a lot of markets. Kuwahara's of this era where noted for exceptionaly build quality on there frames.

I love the model name-and those hf hubs-really everything about it! I think itis worth 200. Name brand mtb's in my area are never less than 100-most than not/more. I don't know where all these cheap vintage mountain bikes are-but they're not HERE!
