Please help me identify this Bianchi.
So I just picked up this Bianchi off of CL for relatively cheap, at least I think so as it is missing the rear wheel. Can anyone help me identify the model? The sticker at the bottom of the seat tube says it was manufactured in January 1981. Campy NR Pat 80 rear derailleur, campy FD/DT shifters/levers/brakes/seatpost, gipiemme dual sprint crank and hub. Near as I can tell you have a Nuovo racing but it appears the brakes were changed from original Universal Mod 77 as well as the bar and stem, but they were likely changed as much for fit as anything else. Too bad the rear wheel is missing but i am sure you can find a replacement pair pretty easily. Personally I would go with some 7spd cassette hubs and silver Ambrosio tubulars but that is just me.

Thanks BG! Yea, the swapped components were throwing me off from what I was seeing in the catalogs. I am still trying to figure out what I am going to do with it. I would like to keep it and build it up but I can't really put much more money into it right now. I'm tempted to part it out as it will allow me to recoup a lot of the money I have put into this hobby so far and get the fiance off my back a bit. I am just getting started in this hobby so I am starting in the hole a bit and don't have a surplus of parts lying around yet. Can anyone suggest the most cost effective way of getting this bike road ready again so that I can weigh that vs the potential return of parting it out? Thanks again.

Cheapest way would probably be a bike coop if you have one close by. Otherwise you're looking at getting a used wheel off craigslist or a donor bike. To put a wheel on correct to the bike will be expensive and harder to find, but if you just want something so you can ride it you should be able to do that for maybe $50.

Thanks for the input Jake. Well to be fair, I sold her on the idea of the hobby being self sustaining but in reality, so far, it's just been me buying buying buying. I'm sure once I flip a couple of the other bikes that I have, she will have no problem. If I'm going to keep it and build it up for myself, I'm gonna want to keep it as correct to the bike as I can. I will check out my coop and used parts stores over the weekend and see if I have any luck. Any suggestions on less expensive parts/brands that I should consider?
