Old Guaranty Le Tour??
I was wondering if you all could help me with this bike? I can't find any information about the brand or what it may be worth. Is it a cheap-o bike? Or a rare beauty? 
I'm going to start restoring it to turn it into a touring bike. Any info is good. Thanks.

Is that a 1-piece crank? Looks like a department-store level bike to me. Honestly, I would not stick more than $50 in this bike to make it rideable.
If you are looking for a serious touring bike I'm afraid I can only advise that you look elsewhere.

It looks like a one piece but actually is a two. It has Suntour and Shimano parts. Its certainly an older bike. I'm just not sure how old. I literally can't find anything but old adds for the name "Guaranty" it seems to be associated with Schwinn? I've seen/read the names together alot.

I guess I'll just junk it.
If the bike does sell, take the money and look for something else to purchase. Pretty soon you will begin to understand the urge to hoard;-(
