Any info on this Le Jeunet?
 

I'm interested in this Jeunet, can anybody help ID this bike? Or Jeunet bike info in general. Thanks

The bike looks like an early 70's 620 that has had a lot or most of the components changed out the Mafac brakes are about the only thing left original so its hard to be sure of exact model year. Not a super valuable bike but likely an exceptional rider. I have one that is similar and it is one of the best riding bikes I have owned.

Search "Jeunet Franche-Comte" and you'll find tons of stuff. These were lower end bikes, but probably the prettiest looking of them all with the chrome and the painted lugs. I think $175 is a fair price for that one.

Thanks for the info Jake. It is disappointing that it doesn't have much of the original components, but the frame sure is pretty and what really has me interested. Encouraging words zukahn, I was looking to make this an everyday rider.

I wouldn't worry about the non-original components. IIRC these came with steel rims and steel cottered cranksets. I'd consider the parts swapped out as upgrades. Even though they are not fantastic components, at least now you have the option of putting a nicer square taper crank on. For a daily rider I think this would be great.

For $175.00, I would not hesitate to purchase the bicycle, just for the frame set. And, as someone else suggested, the ride quality will be pretty darn good. As for original parts, if you choose to go that way and, personally, I would, send me a private email. I have every original part stashed in The Old Shed.
